Privacy Policy

Sydney Pickleball League ("SPL", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how you can contact us about it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you register your interest, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- First and last name, email address and mobile number
- Gender and suburb (optional)
- DUPR rating and main playing venue or club (optional)
- Whether you're interested in being a team captain, entering the player draft, both, or receiving updates
We don't ask for payment details, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Why we collect it
- To send you SPL news, announcements and updates about the 2027 season
- To consider prospective captains and players for selection and the player draft (where relevant, we balance teams by gender and playing ability)
- To contact you about opportunities to get involved with SPL
- To understand interest in the league and plan the competition
Registering interest does not guarantee selection as a captain or player.
How it's stored and shared
Registration, contact and sponsorship form submissions are processed and stored by our form provider, Formspree, which may store data outside Australia. Access is limited to the SPL organising team. We don't sell or rent your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run SPL (for example, email or form services), or where the law requires it.
Communications
By registering, you agree to receive SPL communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or via our contact page.
Access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.
